You are quickly taken to your hotel where you meet your North India Travel Expert, who gives you some advice for your stay. Without delay, you set off to explore the lively capital. Delhi, with its rich history, instantly fascinates you! Visit iconic monuments of the Mughal Empire such as Humayun's Tomb and the towering Qutub Minar.

This morning, you go to the airport for your flight to Ahmedabad, the vibrant city of Gujarat. Once the home of Gandhi, Ahmedabad was a center of resistance against British rule. Upon arrival and after settling into your hotel, set out to explore this bustling metropolis. Stroll through the old neighborhoods, adorned with magnificent havelis and mosques. For dinner, indulge in the flavors of Gujarati cuisine in one of the city's many restaurants.
Today, spend your day exploring Ahmedabad. Start with a guided walking tour of the old town, where a local guide introduces you to its rich past. Next, don't miss the famous Calico Museum, which displays exquisite textile works from different eras and regions. In the evening, a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, Gandhi's former residence, offers an insight into his life and principles during India's struggle for independence.
Today, your private driver will take you to Dasada, located on the banks of the Rann of Kutch, one of the largest salt deserts in the world. Along the way, explore two fascinating sites: the Adalaj Well, a 10th-century baori, and the Modhera Sun Temple. Before arriving at Dasada, make a stop at Patan, famous for its silk saris and the magnificent stepped well, Rani ki Vav. These architectural marvels bear witness to the refined art of the Solanki dynasty.
Early in the morning, set off for a safari in the Little Rann game reserve of Kutch. Pass through villages inhabited by the Rebari community, known for their traditional way of life. Contemplate a diverse fauna against the backdrop of vast salt plains: migratory birds, pink flamingos, nilgauts and even wild donkeys. Return to Dasada in the evening to stroll around the city center and visit its forts.
This morning, leave with your driver towards Bhuj, the capital of Kutch, in the northwest of Gujarat. Founded in the 16th century, Bhuj was seriously affected by an earthquake in 2001. Despite some damage to its architectural heritage, the city retains several points of interest, including the Aina Mahal and the Prag Mahal. After settling into the hotel, explore the colorful bazaars and do some shopping for local crafts.
Bhuj is the starting point for a day trip to Kutch. Accompanied by your driver, explore the authentic villages where different communities live, some of which are still nomadic. Admire local crafts in the villages of Bhirandyara, Hodka or Nirona, famous for their colorful textiles, elaborate embroidery and traditional pottery. Soak up the unique atmosphere of these remote places before returning to Bhuj at the end of the day.
After a hearty breakfast, leave Bhuj to go to Wankaner. During the ride, enjoy the varied landscapes of Gujarat. Upon arrival, explore downtown Wankaner, bordered by the Machchhu River. Visit former royal palaces converted into boutique hotels, such as the Royal Residency and the Royal Oasis, the latter renowned for its unique art deco indoor pool.
Today, a short drive takes you to Gondal, a picturesque town in Gujarat. After settling in at the hotel, visit the city center and discover the fascinating collection of vintage cars of the Gondal royal family. Admire these carefully restored classic vehicles, witnesses of a bygone era. Enjoy the rest of the day to relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of Gondal.
This morning, leave for Palitana with your driver. Along the way, make a stop at Junagadh, a historic town nestled at the foot of Mount Girnar. Explore the many temples, museums and forests of this city steeped in history. Be sure to visit the Mahabat Maqbara, a magnificent mausoleum dating from the 19th century, which skillfully combines Indo-Islamic and Gothic styles. At the end of the day, arrive in Palitana.
This day is dedicated to visiting Palitana, an important Jain pilgrimage site located on top of Shatrunjaya Hill. Start early to climb the thousands of steps leading to the hundreds of temples scattered across the hill. Admire the magnificent architecture of these sacred buildings, the oldest of which date back to the 10th century. Soak up the spirituality and serenity of this unique place before heading back down.
This morning, take the road towards Vadodara, also known as Baroda. Along the way, stop at the archaeological site of Lothal, an ancient port of the Indus Valley Civilization dating back 4,500 years. Continue your journey to Vadodara, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Enjoy free time to relax at the hotel or explore the city at your own pace.
Today, explore the city of Vadodara, once the capital of the Gaekwad, a Hindu dynasty. Start with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. Explore the remains of the ancient walled city of Champaner and admire its unique architecture, a blend of Hindu, Islamic and Jain styles. Don't miss the Kalika Mata temple atop Pavagadh Hill, as well as mosques and palaces dating back to the 16th century. At the end of the day, return to Vadodara to enjoy a peaceful evening.
Our trip to Gujarat is coming to an end. In the morning, you are transferred to Vadodara airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. When you arrive in the capital, you have the choice between resting at the hotel, doing some last-minute shopping in the bustling markets or visiting the city's historic sites. Depending on the time of your international flight, you are then taken to the international airport for your departure.
