Welcome to India! Upon your arrival at Kochi Airport, a representative will take you to your hotel for check-in. Afterwards, you will attend a Kathakali performance and experience Kalaripayattu, a traditional martial art. These activities will enrich your stay in Kochi.
Today, start with a visit to the Athirapally Falls. Next, explore the Paradesi Synagogue, the oldest still in operation, renowned for its beautiful ceramic tiles. Then, head to St. Francis Church, where Vasco da Gama is buried, to delve into the Portuguese colonial era. Conclude your day at the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace), a fine example of Dutch architecture adorned with beautiful Hindu frescoes.
Today, you’ll travel to Munnar. Begin with a visit to the Tea Museum to learn about the history and process of tea-making in the area. Next, head to Attukal Falls to enjoy its beautiful natural scenery. In the evening, visit Lakkam Falls, a peaceful spot that's great for relaxing and less crowded.
Today, start with a visit to Eravikulam National Park for beautiful views and a hike. Next, go to Mattupetty Dam for a relaxing boat ride on the lake. Then, visit the Rose Garden to see colorful flowers. In the afternoon, check out the Indo-Swiss Dairy Farm to learn about local farming. For some adventure, hike to Attukad Falls and enjoy the impressive waterfalls. End your day at Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its amazing wildlife.
After breakfast, head to Periyar (Thekkady) in the cool Western Ghats. In the afternoon, visit a spice plantation with a guide. You'll get to smell spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, and nutmeg, and learn how they are grown and prepared.
Today, explore Thekkady and Vagamon. Start by visiting Anakkara to see local village life. Then, check out the historic Vendiperiyar temples. Finish the day in Vagamon, enjoying the green hills and peaceful views. It’s a great mix of nature, culture, and local experiences.
After breakfast, go to Varkala to see the beautiful cliffs and beaches. Visit the Jatayu Earth Center for great views and learn about the Jatayu legend. Then, take a boat ride around Munroe Islands to enjoy the backwaters. End the day with a sunset on Varkala’s beaches and try some local food.
For a perfect second day in Varkala, start by relaxing on Varkala Beach, enjoying the sun and waves. Then, stroll along Varkala Cliff, where you’ll find cafes and shops with stunning sea views. Visit the Janardana Swami Temple to experience a peaceful religious site. Check out the Varkala Aquarium to see local marine life. Finally, explore Asparagus Para for a quiet walk and discover a charming neighborhood. This day offers a great mix of relaxation and exploration in Varkala.
Start your day at Padmanabhaswamy Temple to see its impressive design. Next, visit Attukal Bhagavathy Temple, known for its lively festivals. In the afternoon, go to Napier Museum to see interesting artifacts. Then, check out Sree Chitra Art Gallery for Indian art. End the day at Kuthiramalika Museum, which has beautiful wooden sculptures, and relax at Shankumugham Beach for a calm sunset.
Start your day with a short drive to Kovalam. First, visit Hawa Beach to enjoy its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. In the afternoon, go to Lighthouse Beach and climb the lighthouse for great coastal views. For a quieter spot, head to Samudra Beach, which is peaceful and less crowded. In the evening, walk along Kovalam’s promenade and have a meal at a seaside restaurant. If you have time, try a relaxing Ayurvedic treatment.
Start your day at Vivekananda Rock Memorial on a rocky island with great views. Then, visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, honoring the Tamil poet. In the afternoon, explore Kanyakumari Temple and Thanumalayan Temple, known for its old architecture. See the Mathur Aqueduct bridge and Vattakoti Fort for nice views. Before sunset, walk along Kanyakumari Beach where three seas meet. Finish your day by watching the sunset from Kanyakumari’s viewpoint.
After breakfast, start with a cruise on Lake Ashtamudi. Next, relax on Kollam Beach and visit the Thangassery Lighthouse for great views. For lunch, try some local dishes. In the afternoon, explore Kollam Port and, if you can, check out the Punalur Suspension Bridge. End your day with a visit to the Muthuraja Temple and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with Kerala cuisine.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey. There, take a houseboat cruise through the backwaters, enjoying the lush scenery. Next, relax at Alleppey Beach, walk along the coast, and visit the Alleppey Lighthouse for great sea views.
In the late afternoon, visit the Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple and the Shree Subramanya Swami Temple. Finish with dinner at a local restaurant, enjoying Kerala cuisine.
For a great day in Kumarakom, start with canoeing on the backwaters or biking around. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary to see exotic birds, then check out the Craft Museum for local art and crafts. Stroll through nearby villages to meet locals and experience their daily life, and finish with a visit to Ettumanoor Mahadev Temple, known for its ancient sculptures.
After breakfast, head to Kochi to explore the old town areas of Mattanchery and Fort Kochi. Visit the Paradesi Synagogue and St. Francis Church. Then, make your way to Cochin Airport according to your flight schedule. Safe travels!
