In the afternoon, spend some time at Marina Beach for a pleasant walk along the shore. In the evening, go shopping at Pondy Bazaar or Express Avenue mall.
Today, head to Mahabalipuram. Upon your arrival, check into your hotel. Start by visiting the Shore Temple, a historic site by the beach. Next, explore the Pancha Rathas, a group of monolithic temples, and admire Arjuna's Penance, a large bas-relief.
